Fellowship

Strengthening bonds
of community!

We believe that, as the body of Christ, we are stronger when we have times to just be together. As a congregation, we LOVE to have fun together. We dedicate times throughout the week and throughout the year to just be together and to build relationships within the community.

Current fellowship opportunities can be found through the link below!

Youth and Children

Our church today!

Jesus says, “Let the little children come to me; do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs.” (Mark 10:14) Jesus accepts children as they are, so we strive to do so as well.

Kids are not just the future of the church. Kids ARE the church right now. We strive to have opportunities to serve and to learn in age appropriate ways for all!

WELCA

Women of the ELCA

At OSLC, we have an active WELCA - Women of the ELCA - group. We have two circles - the Lydia Circle, and the Rebecca Ruth Circle. WELCA engages in fellowship and in outreach throughout the year - including (but not limited to) quilting, knitting/ crocheting, participating in yearly WELCA service projects.

Worship & Music

Sundays - 10:30am

Worship is central to our life as a community. The Holy Spirit gathers the Body of Christ (us!) together to praise and worship God. Here, we are strengthened by music, Word, and Sacrament. From this place, we are sent out again to be the body of Christ in our community and the wider world.

Our worship follows a traditional liturgy with a relaxed yet reverent feel. Worship isn't about perfection or performance, but about sharing in the Good news of Jesus.

You are welcome to join us for worship as you are - whether in flip flops and jeans or your Sunday best, whether you're young or old, whether you're single or married, or you're LGBTQIA+ or not, whether you've been hurt by church or you have been loved by church. You are beloved. You are welcome.

Faith Formation

For all ages!

With Christian education and faith formation, we dig deeper into topics of faith and dig deeper into the Scriptures. We are lifelong learners, learning more about God and about Jesus every day!

With these opportunities, we hope to encourage a life of faith that extends beyond Sunday services into the rhythms of our weeks.

With Sunday School and other activities for our youngest members and bible studies for our adults, we strive to offer opportunities for all ages for learning and developing faith! Click the link below for more information about our current education opportunities!

Witness & Outreach

Living out the love of Christ!

As Christians, we do not live to ourselves, but for the sake of our neighbor and for the sake of the world that God so loves. In both word and in action, we are called to be agents of God's love, grace, and forgiveness to a world in need.

Our Social Ministry and Missions Committee spearheads many projects in which we live out the love of God in Jesus in our community. They sponsor 5th Sunday offerings, Motel Ministry, and more!

We are Christ's hands, heart, and feet in the world!
