Training sessions

Today, Sun., 22 Jan. and Sun.,29 Jan., 11:45 a.m. Usher and Assisting Minister training sessions begin after worship. This is for all who currently serve as well as those who desire to start serving. This is a wonderful way to participate in the service and worship of our Lord, and to meet, greet and serve members of the congregation.

Submitting reports

Tues., 31 Jan. All Annual Reports need to be emailed to the church office by 31 Jan. to allow time for assembly them for the Congregational Meeting in February.

Ministry Fair Meeting

Sat., 28 Jan., 10:00 a.m. We will meet to plan a Ministry Fair for 18 March to take place following worship. The fair is sponsored by Stewardship, but we would like to meet with a representative from each of the committees to discuss what will be done. Please let Debra Daily know if you can attend; dailyprek522@msn.com. This is a great opportunity to plan an activity that will let everyone know what your committee does and wants to do.

Social Ministry and Missions Committee will receive a special offering on January 29th for Bay Aging. Bay Aging works at the grassroots level to bring services that are needed for people of all ages to live healthier lives and remain as independent as possible for as long as possible. Please bring your donation to Church on the 29th to support this agency.

Social Ministry and Missions Committee will sponsor 2 teams to provide hot meals for the homeless ONCE per quarter in conjunction with the “From His Hands: Motel Ministry Program”. We need to form 2 teams of 6-8 people who can prepare 30-35 hot meals and deliver them to the Family Inn on Richmond Road on a Friday evening by 6 pm. Our FIRST date is April 13, 2012. We also NEED two people with Food Handler's Permits for these teams. Please let me know if you have a permit. If you are interested in serving on one of these teams or would like more information, please E-Mail Diane Priestley DMP625@aol.com. We will have an information session at the next Social Ministry and Missions Meeting Monday, 13 February at 7 pm.

All-Committee Meeting nights:

All the dates are on Wednesdays: February 8, April 11, June 13, and August 8

The schedule:

· 6:30 p.m. Shared Meal

· 7:00 p.m. Committee Meetings

· 7:45 p.m. Report Out

· 8 p.m. Parish Council Meeting

On the dates that the All Committees meet, the choir rehearsal will shift from Wednesday to Thursday and practice in the church.
